4frnt Hoji 2018/2019
Eric’s Hjorleifson designed, tested and refined every detail of this ski for big mountain exploration. Whether you’re out touring, or charging the sidecountry lines from the resort, this ski enables you to slash, surf, and dump speed on a dime. It achieves this through it's unique reverse camber that allows you to drive the ski underfoot vs. pressuring the tips like a traditionally cambered ski. The result is tips that automatically rise out of the pow in all conditions like no other. The Hoji’s shape is paired nicely with a lightweight construction for easy uphill travel as well as a quick and nimble feel in technical terrain. Just like Eric, you'll be able to count on this ski's solid and stable reliability when its time to pin it.
Neotip

Neotip Eliminating deflection, delamination and fractures in the ski tip. These three issues have long plagued the durability of freeride skis due to the abrupt change in snow conditions and tip slap on impact from catching air. The bordering material in a ski tip that joins the core end is most commonly comprised of hard, non-elastic polymers. We began experimentation in our White Room using different grades of Neoprene to withstand the shearing impacts and provide absorption for change in conditions. The result is a dampened feel that calms the ski feel and increases the durability. |

Poplar

Poplar The most commonly used species of wood for ski cores is Poplar. We vertically laminate the Poplar beams to create a smooth, even flexing ski. To increase the torsional strength in comparison to Paulownia or Aspen, we use Titanal laminates top and bottom to create a smooth flexing yet razor sharp edge feel. |

Reflecttech technology

ReflectTech Technology Eric Hjorleifson conceived ReflectTech in order to make rocker and side-cut work together. In the past, full rocker profiles effected a negative impact on the ability of a ski to edge consistently. This effect caused the tips to hook and the tails to wash out with the ski on edge. With ReflectTech, the rocker radius and the side-cut radius match, allowing the ski to edge smoothly, creating predictable carving in all conditions. ReflectTechTM virtually eliminates tip hook. The ski will engage smoothly along it’s entire length, while still giving you the float and pivotability of a fully rockered ski. |

Vibeveil technology

VibeVeil Technology Vibration drastically reduces confidence. The VibeVeil elastic membrane situated in the tips of our rockered skis dramatically reduces chatter and weak edge hold, commonly the result of extended negative radius profiles in ski tips when used in varied to firm snow conditions. All 2015/16 skis featuring VibeVeil have a transparent window logo highlighting the very material used in each ski. |
