The distinctive characteristic of this technology is a raised central ridge that sharply levels out toward the edge, both in front of and behind the binding. This reduces the inertial mass around the fulcrum to a minimum and significantly enhances the agility of the ski. At the same time, the center ridge allows for a precise dimensioning of the hardness distribution, which leads to an especially harmonious flex on the ski. Despite the weight savings, the 3D.RIDGE ensures that there is no compromise whatsoever in the ski‘s durability and elasticity.

The top-of-the-line models in the VÖLKL Alpine ski range boast a special wood core tuning system - all powered by titanium. Above and below the XTD Sensor Wood Core or XTD Wood Core, there is a layer of titanium reinforcing the ski and adding power and stability. The thin yet extremely strong aluminium alloy extends its unparalleled dampening properties particularly at high speeds.

UVO - Ultimate Vibration Object - Völkl впервые применили в сезоне 2013/2014 в моделях Racetiger RC UVO, Racetiger SC UVO и Code UVO. Визуально UVO - это «нашлепка» в районе носка лыжи и по сути является дальнейшим совершенствованием системы MODmonic от K2. Как утверждают в Völkl применение такой технологии позволили сделать лыжи легче, не потеряв при этом в стабильности и хватке кантов.
